Product Description
This KEMFLO 5-micron polypropylene sediment filtration cartridge is 2.5 inch in diameter and 20 inch in length. It has low pressure drop and high chemical resistance. The filter removes suspended solids (dirt, rust) and is a necessary element for the protection of the elements that comes later (e.g., carbon cartridge or reverse osmosis membrane).
The 20 inch sediment filter cartridge is used as a prefilter in the RO-100P light commercial reverse osmosis system and also in F303-2038 water filtration system (both systems are sold on this web site).
Depending on the amount of flow through the system, the prefilter should be changed every 12 months. In systems on well water, the prefilter should be inspected for discoloration and changed on a judgement basis.
The Melt Blown Sediment filters are constructed by using Multi-layers for true depth filtration. The graded density construction captures particles throughout the entire cross section of the cartridge and reduces surface binding. The cartridges combine quality and cost effectiveness to provide excellent filtration value.
