An inline alkaline filter that is 2.5 inch in outside diameter and 12" in length with 1/4” FNPT ports. This filter by EDEN has a service life of one year or 2,000 gallons and a maximum flow rate of 0.5 GPM. The weight of the filter is 1 lb 9 oz.

The filter contains a special blend of ceramic balls with different functions and properties (e.g., far infrared, ORP). Water filtered through the media will be alkaline drinking water with higher pH, higher mineral content, and lower ORP. Initial testing of pH showed readings of 9.6-10.0 for water receiving reverse osmosis purification. With use, pH is expected to go down gradually. This alkaline antioxidant filter provides abundant Active Hydrogen. It also increases reduction power by increasing pH, making small water clusters, and providing beneficial minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium. By adding this inline filter to a reverse osmosis (RO) system, you get the optimum benefit of the alkaline-mineral-ORP media: a higher pH, higher mineral content, and lower ORP. This Alkaline/Mineral/ORP filter (2.5”x12”) may be accurately described as:
natural alkalizer/ionizer/mineralizer/oxidizer!

The purchase of this filter does NOT include the quick connect fittings AME0404 or any clips to complete the job. So, when you purchase this inline filter, consider buying a kit that includes these fillings with the needed clips. You have two options for these kits:

Option 1: Make the added filter an integral part of an RO System, e.g., RO6-100-ALK.   Option1-Buy What? S5-TO-S6 RO Kit FOR 2.5” DIAMETER INLINE FILTER (2CL2520).

Option 2: keep the inline filter as separate from the RO system and mount it on the wall, side of the cabinet, or any surface. Option2-Buy What? Mounting Clip Kit (2CL25). You need two screws (not included).

When adding the new alkaline filter to any RO system, purified water will flow through the alkaline media before reaching the drinking water faucet.

What is the direction of flow in this filter? It works both ways.

This filter body is FRAGILE, so handle with care and use Teflon tape on the fittings (7-8 rounds) to make a good seal. When using this filer with an existing RO system, it is not uncommon for some customers to complain about taste at first. We recommend adding bleach (1 tsp) to the inlet of the filter to disinfect the media. This may be needed only once at first use. To accomplish this goal, some people find ADMF0404 fitting useful.
